Milan is the managing attorney in The Woodlands, Texas office of MILAN G. MARINKOVICH & ASSOCIATES, PLLC. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his Juris Doctor at Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
He represents individuals, corporations, and insurance carriers in all state courts throughout Texas, and Courts of Law and Equity in Georgia. He has also represented clients in Tennessee and Oklahoma, Pro Hac Vice.
Prior Insurance Experience
Milan has more than seven years of prior insurance experience working for an insurer in both Georgia and Texas where he managed coverage issues and personal injury liability claims as a Claims/Litigation Manager.
Civil Law
In addition to his work as lead defense counsel, Milan provides insurers with coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and conducts examinations under oath ("EUOs") on suspected fraudulent claim submissions.
His civil litigation trial practice focuses on both insurance coverage and defense (personal automobile and trucking), general liability, and premises liability. He also represents clients involved in business disputes, landlord tenant issues, and handles family law cases.
As a former Assistant Nueces County Attorney in the Civil Litigation Division (Corpus Christi, Texas), he successfully presented oral argument before the Thirteenth Court of Appeals in the following cases:

Criminal Law
As an Assistant District Attorney, Milan prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases before juries with the Nueces County District Attorney’s office in Corpus Christi, Texas (January 2003-May 2005). His criminal defense practice is devoted to representing clients charged with serious felony offenses, including first degree murder.
Milan was a legal advocate for both the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU) (2013-2023) and the Texas Association of Special Investigation Units (TASIU) (2014-2023). He was selected as legal counsel for the Texas Association of Special Investigation Units (TASIU) for 2020-2023.

DIRECTED VERDICT FOR DEFENSE - PLAINTIFF RECOVERS NOTHING
Harris County, Texas (270th Judicial District Court)
Milan G. Marinkovich represented a Defendant (Defendant 1), a 48-year old female who was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on December 15, 2019, on Interstate 45 near Crosstimbers. Liability was disputed from the outset. Defendant 1 alleged that a co-defendant (Defendant 2), struck Defendant 1 causing her to contact the Plaintiff's vehicle.
